HOMEMADE OVEN-BAKED FISH FINGERS PLATTER

Ingredients

  • ok2 Skinless fish fillets
  • ok5 tbsp of flour
  • ok1 Whisked Egg
  • ok85g white breadcrumb
  • ok1-teaspoon salt
  • ok¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ok1 small finely chopped onion
  • ok1 egg
  • ok1 sweet potato
  • ok1 tsp dried thyme (zaatar)
  • ok1 small Onion, chopped
  • ok2 cucumbers 
  • ok4 tbsp of plain yoghurt

Let's Cook

To make the fish fingers: 

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200 C. 
  2. 2Chop skinless fish fillets into strips. 
  3. 3Set up 3 bowls, in the first one add the flour, the second one add the whisked egg, and the third one place the breadcrumbs with preferred seasonings (salt, pepper, paprika, or garlic powder).
  4. 4Toss each strip in (1) the flour first, then (2) egg, then (3) breadcrumbs. 
  5. 5Set on a lightly brushed oven tray, an inch apart from each other. 
  6. 6Place in the oven for 8-10 minutes, turning over halfway, and bake until golden on the outside and cooked from the inside.

To make the sweet potato: 

  1. 1Wash and chop the sweet potato into thin circles 
  2. 2Marinate in a large bowl with some olive oil, zaater, and a pinch of salt. 
  3. 3To bake in the oven, place in an oven tray (no oil) for about 35-40 minutes on 180 C until fully cooked through. 
  4. 4Then broil for a crispy finish for another 10 minutes. 
  5. 5Those fish fingers will disappear in no time.
